How the activity is played?
Unlike most Wordwall templates, the Seating Plan is an open-ended tool meant for teacher use rather than a scored game for students.
Layout Design: Click and drag student desks to mirror your actual classroom layout.
Random Selection: Use the buttons at the bottom to pick a student at random for participation.
Shuffle: Instantly move every student to a different seat with one click—perfect for a quick change of scenery!
Classroom Management: You can assign or remove "Points" for students directly on their desk icons and organise the class into specific groups.
Creating your Seating Plan
Click Create Activity and select the Seating Plan template.
Choose whether you want to display First names only or First and last names.
Type the names of all the students in your class.
Click Add a new student or press Enter to move to the next line.
-
Click Done to generate the plan.
-
Once the plan is generated, you can refine it:
Arrange Desks: On the activity screen, drag and drop the desks into your preferred arrangement (rows, pods, u-shape, etc.).
Set Options: Scroll down to the Options panel below the activity to adjust display settings and behavior tracking.
