The Random cards template is a versatile, open-ended tool that mimics a physical deck of cards. It’s perfect for generating random prompts, selecting students, or starting "icebreaker" discussions.

How the Activity is Played
The screen displays a face-down deck of cards that you can "deal" one by one.
The Interaction: The user clicks on the deck, and a randomly chosen card is revealed on the screen.
-
The Tools: After a card is dealt, you have a few handy options:
Shuffle: Mix the remaining cards back into the deck.
Undo: Put the last revealed card back.
Deal: Draw the next card.
Open-Ended: Like the Flip Tiles activity, this is not a scored quiz. It is meant for exploration, prompts, or classroom management.
Creating Your Activity
Click Create Activity and choose Random cards.
-
Add Your Items:
Type the text or upload an image for each card.
This could be a student's name, a discussion question, a math problem, or a vocabulary word.
Click Add an item or press Enter to add the next card. You can add dozens of cards to a single deck!
-
Click Done to save your deck.
-
Adjust how the cards behave using the Options panel below the activity:
Animation: Choose whether the cards deal out quickly or with a slow, dramatic flip.
Deal multiple: You can set the game to deal 1, 2, or 3 cards at a time (great for comparing items).
Automatic Shuffle: Set the deck to automatically reshuffle once all cards have been dealt.
