The Flying Fruit template is a vibrant, fast-paced arcade game that tests recognition speed and accuracy. It challenges students to smash or pop floating fruit items that contain the correct answer to a displayed question while ignoring incorrect options.
In this article:
How the activity is played
The game displays a prompt at the bottom of the screen while various fruits float upwards.
The prompt: A central question, incomplete sentence, or clue is displayed at the base of the arena.
The interaction: Students must click, tap, or swipe to pop the pieces of fruit that carry the correct answer tile.
The challenge: Floating fruits contain both correct options and incorrect distractors. Popping a fruit with a wrong answer will cost a life!
-
Completion: Once all correct fruits are hit or the questions are exhausted, students can view their final score, check their speed, and log their performance on the Leaderboard.

-
Speed:

-
End of game:
Show answers: Allows students to review the full list of correct responses at the end of the session.
-
Random:
Shuffle item order: Shuffles the original sequence of questions so they appear in a completely random order each time the activity is launched, preventing memorisation.
